Well, as the title would suggest, we've just crossed the 100 member line. It's not much but for a small and obscure group like this one it's a big step.
I started this group almost two years ago because I felt that this nation has a lot to share from its history. It's small and, as some would say, "cannot into relevance" , but it's been at the center of the whirlwind that is European history for over a millennium and has things worth pointing out. And I think we're getting there. We already offer a wide variety of art here and hopefully we'll add more in the future. None of that could happen though it if wasn't for you, all the people who create that amazing artwork so I want to thank you all for that! No less important is the team of admins who review all the submissions and manage to do a great job. So a big thanks to you too.
To finish, I'd like to throw a little question out into the ether and make a small request of you all.
The organisation of the gallery is currently designed depending on the type of content submitted and I'm not sure this is exactly the best idea for a history group. What would be your ideal set of folders for this group? What would you base the way it is organised on?
And lastly, my request, I'd like to ask you all, if you see something that fits the criteria of "Czech history", don't hesitate to submit it to the group gallery. Simply scroll down on the page of the artwork in question and on the right-hand side, there will be a button titled " + Add to a Group". Click it, select Czech-History and the correct folder and press submit. That's all If you're not sure if it should go into the group or which folder it belongs it, submit it anyway, the admin team will deal with that.
So thank you all, new members, old members, watchers and admins, Czechs, Slovaks, Filipinos (yes, we have watchers from there too ), and any other nationality for your patronage and I hope we can advance the group together and bring the history of our small country, the heart of Europe, Czechia, to the dA community.

Czech plagiarism
Hey guys,
since this is a Czech history group, I assume there's a couple of Czechs interested in history here ;)
And it's also quite possible you've been reading the Czech magazine První Světová (First World War) by Extra Publishing. Well, it appears that they're not below stealing the works of others. An awesome deviantArt artist wingsofwrath (https://www.deviantart.com/wingsofwrath) has had his works published without credit or royalties by this magazine as a part of their article. If any of you read it, I advise you rethink buying it in the future and spread the news in the historic circles. I know I will.
Here's Wingsofwrath's journal post with photos of the st
Where does it come from - Premyslid eagle.
Ahoj to you all! :) Ahoj vespolek!
In the interest of getting this group a little more active, how about a little history lesson?
Přemyslovská orlice - Premyslid eagle
This eagle, also known as the Svatováclavská orlice or Plamenná orlice (St. Wenceslaus eagle or The flaming eagle) was the original symbol of the Duchy of Bohemia as the symbol of the fathering dynasty of Czechia, the Premyslids. The oldest depiction of the arms come from the coins minted by Duke Bedřich 1179–1181. The eagle there is depicted as surrounded by small crosses, symbolizing flames. The eagle itself is said to originate from the
Looking for admins
Ahoj to all! :)
Recently we've had a little bit of a reshuffle in the admin team. One admin stepped down, one inactive admin was demoted and one admin promoted to co-founder status.
This means we have TWO admin openings with potential for ONE more.
If you're interested in admining the group, please send me a message or comment here.
There are no perquisites though Czechs will be preferred over others, no offence ;)
As an admin, all you will have to do is vote on whether to accept or decline images submitted into the group.
And secondly, I just wanted to point out that the group Slovak-History (https://www.deviantart.com/slovak-history) has been founded so if any of you are intere
